Maybe I should thank her! ;)

If you think my comment was long, you should read some of my blog posts! ;) I would be happy for you to be my guest there. :)Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01494609521203854111noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12025547.post-1147470735150414192006-05-13T01:52:00.000+04:002006-05-13T01:52:00.000+04:003l of water per day???!!! Daaah how can I remember...3l of water per day???!!! Daaah how can I remember this, Mel!? The problem is that I don't really feel thirsty!

dlarlxfj

David, that's the longes comment I've ever seen! ;)
Yes, I'm all loaded up on gear for the trip! I also finished packing almost all my stuff today. I still need a hair dryer though :P

The muppet who looks like Cupid is Herry. I admit that I haven't seen him beore! Or at least I don't remember him, but he seemed cute in those little wings.. Well, yes I am "M.", and "H." is for "Hahahaha"!! lol ;) I also used to vut shapes out of carboard, and sometimes just plain papers, and made things with them. I remember that I once designed a little grey crown when I was in primary school. It looked funny! Sorry for the model of a WWI biplane which your sister sat on! I can tell you were so mad that you still remember it till now ;)

Oh, I am sorry, I should have mentioned the names of the cartoons with the pictures! The first one in the very begining of the post is Grendizer. This was, and still, a very famous cartoon that almost all the Iraqi kids like and watch over and over again! The second one of the two little girl and boy spinning is called Heidi. She's that little girl who goes up the mountains to live with her lonely and angry grandfather and his old dog.
The third one is called "Adnan and Lina", Adnan is the name of the boy, and Lina is the name of the girl. I think the English version of this cartoon is called "Conan, The Boy In Future".. or something like that. I hated this cartoon soooo much when I was little!! But later I realized that I like its song. It was made in 1978 and was about the destruction of the world in 2008! The fourth is Sinbad and the black bird is his friend Jasmine who is originally a princess but was bewitched to a bird at her birth. The fifth one is called "Sasuki", a chinease cartoon which was funny and somewhat silly! It's also an old one of the late 70's. The sixth one is "Moroco", also chinease, not so old cartoon. It was first played on the Iraqi channels in 2001. I used to watch it when I was at college! :P

Hey, Bill. Long time no see! So the title sounds like a country\western tune! I just remembered a song which goes the same way by Roxette...

Milk and Toast and Honey,
The Devil, Bottle of Sauce and Me!

:DMorbid Smilehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17612403793598957850noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12025547.post-1147312146669843152006-05-11T05:49:00.000+04:002006-05-11T05:49:00.000+04:00The Devil, Bottle of Sause and Me! sounds like a c...The Devil, Bottle of Sause and Me!

sounds like a country/western tune hummm....George Jones perhaps..hehBillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13827769224812569584noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12025547.post-1147242261450306052006-05-10T10:24:00.000+04:002006-05-10T10:24:00.000+04:00Sounds like you are getting all loaded up on gear ...Sounds like you are getting all loaded up on gear for when you come to America. :)

I'm really glad your headache is gone. I was a bit worried when you told us how long it had persisted! I agree that drinking plenty of water is very important, especially when the weather is hot. I remember once when I was about 12 years old, that after playing baseball all afternoon in the middle of the summer, I almost passed out! Suddenly I could hardly move and I felt like I was going to die (well, not quite that bad :) ). My friends helped me inside and my mother got me some water to drink. About an hour later, I felt just fine. It taught me an important lesson about keeping myself hydrated.

Your colored pictures look very good! You must have been quite the little artist when you were a young girl. :) I recognize Big Bird on the sled, and Bert and Ernie fishing, but who is the purple muppet who looks like cupid? Is he Cookie Monster? Also, I am wondering who is "H."? I thought you were "M." ;)

I didn't color very much as a child (at least not that I can remember). Instead, I would cut shapes out of cardboard and make things with them. When I was about five years old, I made a model of a WWI biplane out of cardboard and tape. I played with it until my sister sat on it. Boy, was I mad!

Your story about the Devil is quite funny! :) I believed in something like evil souls when I was a little kid. However, I guess I thought of them more as monsters. I always slept with a little light on in the room because I thought it would scare them away. I also slept with my face to the wall as a sort of protection.

I haven't seen the new Lion, Witch, and Wordrobe movie yet, but I read all of C.S. Lewis's Narnia books when I was 11 or 12 years old. They were the first books with magic that I read. The BBC made movies of several of the books a few years back. I thought they were very well done. The new movie seems rather violent from the previews. The BBC movies weren't that way and I was glad. Actually, the books weren't really violent either, Lewis was writing for children afterall.

The only cartoon character that you show that I am familiar with is Sinbad. I have seen some really fun movies about Sinbad the Sailor, but they had real actors together with claymation monsters. I used to like Tom and Jerry too. Bad Tom, always trying to eat Tweety! :)

Perhaps it is a bit unusual to smell things, but I wouldn't say bad or wierd. The sense of smell is very closely linked to memory, as you mentioned. I can be walking outside and smell something in the air and suddenly I am having a vivid memory of something from many years ago. It is interesting! So, keep enjoying your sense of smell! :)

I have always disliked ketchup and mustard. I love tomato sauce, but it is not sweet like ketchup. Here, there is a sauce called A-1 Sauce. It is very spicy, and I love to use it on various things. When I was younger, I put it on hamburgers, steaks, and french fries. I don't eat beef anymore, but A-1 tastes really good on chicken too.

Hey, I think I am exhausted commenting on this really long post (two posts actually)! I think I need to rehydrate now! ;)Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01494609521203854111noreply@blogger.com
