The Eldest And The Youngest Cousins in The Family!

I have a new cousin !! A very cute and little boy. He's the first son of my uncle's, and the first cousin I have from an uncle ( the mother's side ). Everyone went to see him in my grandparents' home this evening. And since I'm being crazy with taking photos these days, I took my digital camera and vedio camera with me to take pics for him. He's the youngest cousin in the family, and I'm the eldest one! Wow! I'm 21 years older than that little pink creature.

My other cousins were there, we all gathered around him taking pics as if he was a VIP!! Then my grandma saw my camera and asked me if I'm collecting photos for the family to take them with me to the U.S., and I said yes. Then I told her that the eldest granddaughter is going, but a new grandson is coming instead ! I remeber when Mom called her to tell her about my scholarship grant, she cried over the phone and said that she might die without seeing me again! And I kept telling her that she would see me again and with the M.A. degree.

My uncle doesn't want to go to his work tomorrow cuz he wants to stay with his son! and he kept saying " How will I go tomorrow! I want to keep looking at him".

All the cousins I talked about now are from my Mom's side. My other cousins who are from Dad's side live in another city far away from Baghdad, and I get to see them very little that I almost don't know what to write about them. I don't know about the personalities and their perspectives of life and view points, so I don't know how to mention them. They are so far away.

Good Night

Hi Haneen,

I just found your blog. I've been going through and reading your archives. I just wanted to say Congratulations on the scholarship. Please ignore that anonymous commentor regarding your studying in the U.S. I can't imagine anyone more delightful to have study in our country than you.

If you have any questions that you think one of us can answer please feel free to ask. BTW, when choosing your college you may want to remember that the U.S. seems to be in a rather active hurricane cycle. Some of the southern states may not be the most quiet, weather wise. No I'm not just saying that because I'm from Minnesota! lol!

P.S. Also congratulations on the new addition to your family!

P.P.S. It is wise to stay away from arguing politics. Believe me it can get nasty.

Hello Lynnette, it's so nice to have you here. Thank you for your nice comment. As you have read in my blog, I'm going to the States to study for my M.A. degree. This is my dream, and it's coming true! As for choosing the university I will study at, I think the Study Program I'm applying to will take in consideration the hurricanes which are taking place in your country, so I guess I'm not going to attend a university in the States where hurricanes took place or might take place later.

I really don't like politics! I tried to do it twice but then everything was turned against me!! I'm not good at it at all..

Oh, I liked to visit your blog, so I got to your profile but I didn't see the link to the blog. By the way, I have "To Kill a Mocking Bird" and "Lonesome Dove" but I didn't read those too books yet. I have so many things to read but I don't have time for everything unfortunately.

Thank you again, and hope that you will come over here soon again :)

Cheers.
